Scheduled for March 3rd, “The Price of Living Off The Grid”
In a world where the cost of living is high and the benefit of modern comfort can leave you indebted to utility corporations, which in most cases are set up as monopolies, there are some people who dream of living “off the grid” to escape their preconceived enslavement. There are many benefits to choosing this path, but also some obstacles and downsides. Let’s talk about the pros and cons of living off the grid in this edition of Socially Unacceptable.
Scheduled for March 6th, "The Living Wage Debate"
When we talk about the working poor in this country we are including many people and their families that are trying to make due with a substandard wage. These people are just barely making it. Many have to rely on food banks to help feed their families because they make “just enough” to NOT qualify for the SNAP program. Many cannot afford transportation other than what the city or town can offer them as far as public transportation. Many are working two or three jobs just to be able to afford rent. Corporations deliberately keep the wages as low as they can so that they can increase their profits all the while taking generous tax breaks thus taking the much needed funds of the communities they reside in that could help benefit those communities. Let’s discuss this epidemic in our American society in this episode of Socially Unacceptable.
